I went back to the upper torso of prime and put the feet on hold for a while, since I have not designed all of the parts for the feet. I started working on his..... well I don't really know what they are but he has them so I make em. Let's call them shoulder pieces. I made the from scratch based on pictures of prime. also I added some chest plates behind his windshield and finally glued the windshield in place. I also added some more detail to the windshield wipers. Another thing I decided to change were his smokestacks making them "chrome" looking by covering them in aluminum foil. This will be my last updated for a while since I got a magazine design Job which will take most of my time, hopefully i will be able to get back on Prime before the end of the month...

 

Regrese nuevamente al toso de Prime y puse sus pies en pausa ya que no he terminado de diseñar todas las partes necesarias para armarlos. Comenze a trabajar en sus.... bueno no se que sean pero los tiene asi que los hare. Llamemoslo partes del hombro. las arme desde cero basandome en imagenes de Prime. Tambien añadi los paneles detras de sus parabrisas y un poco de mas detalle a los limpiadores del parabrisas. Otra parte que decidi modificar fueron sus escapes añadiendo papel aluminio mra darle un look de chromado.

The Build Continues...

I continue to work on the feet of the robot there are fairly big even at this scale i can not imagine  how big it would be at his original size. Thanks to a super hi res pictures around the net, I'm able to put lots of details on it, but also since I've already started to do it that way I have to do it to all of the parts so they will not look out of place, not that I have a problem with that, I will do it, but it will take a really long time to finish it. There is no going back. It's hard but I'm happy with the results so far.

Continuo trabajando con los pies del robot, son bastante grandes incluso a esta escala  no puedo imaginar el tamaño de la version original. Gracias a unas imagenes da alta resolucion que encontre en la red estoy poniendo tanto detalle como me es posible, pero como ya comenze a hacerlo de esa manera tengo que aplicar la misma cantidad de detalles a todas las partes para que no se vean fuera de lugar, no que tenga un problema en hacerlo y lo hare, si no que tomara mucho tiempo el terminarlo, pero no hay vuelta atras. Es dificil pero estoy mas que satisfecho con los resultados.

Little Progress...

Well I finally finished building the side doors, except for mirrors which will be added later so I will not break them since they might be flimsy. Also I started re-designing and building the feet since I had an idea of what I wanted to achieve so I started to do it before the inspiration went away.  They are coming out pretty good in my opinion.

Bueno Finalmente termine las puertas laterales salvo los espejos ya que los añadire despues ya que probablemente sean fragiles y no quiero romperlos. Tambien eh comenze a rediseñar y a armar los pies del modelo. Como ya tenia una idea de lo que queria lograr comenze a armarlos antes de que se me fuera la inspiracion.

Minor Update...

I started working on the side "pistons" for the model, they were a little harder than anticipated but I'm pleased with the result. when I started to make' em I made all of the basic parts for four of them, then I realized I needed eight of them and since they were a little laborious to make I was thinking of making the back ones much less detailed.  However after doing a little research on Movie Optimus prime from various hi res pics I found all over the net, I found out he doesn't have any "pistons on his back. I'm happy about that... At first I glued them were the instructions told me to, however after comparing it again with ILM's prime i had to rip them of and re arrange them to better fit with my parts and the movie look.

Comenze a armar los "pistones" del modelo, fueron un poco mas dificiles de acer de lo que pense, pero estoy satisfecho con el resultado. Cuando comenze a armarlos corte todas las partes para 4 de ellos, despues me di cuenta de que nesecitaba hacer 8 y como son un poco dificiles de hacer estaba pensando no hacer tan detalladas las partes de atras. Sin embargo despues de buscar y comparar con imagenes del optimus de la pelicula me di cuenta de que no lleva ningun piston en su espalda. Estoy feliz por eso... Al principio los pegue donde marcaban las instrucciones, pero despues de comparar nuevamente con el optimus de ILM tuve que desprendarlas y re-acomodarlas para que combinaran mejor con mis piezas y con e llook de la pelicula.

Here is the overall look with the pistons in place. regrettably a lot will be cover by the side doors. :(

This far each part which is only the center core of the piston is made up of 10 pieces. Final piece count for each part was 30 times  4= 120 . (no wonder my wife thinks I'm crazy)

En este punto cada parte la cual solamente es el centro del piston esta echa de 10 piezas. La catidad total de cada parte fue de 30, por 4 = 120. (con razon mi esposa cre que estoy loco)



The process of building them was very tedious.

El proceso te armado fue muy tedioso.
